Moving In - City Point Residents

Find some further helpful information here dedicated to City Point residents.

Utility Bills

You will need to set up accounts for electricity, water, council tax, broadband once you've moved into your new home. When your tenancy has started, we will have sent you a Move In Inventory Report containing the initial meter readings and the Meter Serial Number (also known as MSN) and you will need to set up accounts with your chosen providers independently.

Your Move In Report is sent via InventoryHive.co.uk so do check your junk inbox if you have not received it, if you cannot find the link let us know and we can resend the invitation!

  • Electricity: Use this link to find the current supplier information to open an account or shop around to find the best rate/deals. You are welcome to change electricity providers
  • Water: Your water supply is provided by United Utilities
  • Internet: Your apartment is already equipped with a Hyperoptic router in the utility cupboard. If you are happy with this provider simply activate the service via this link
  • Council Tax: You need to tell Salford City Council that you are living at the property, even if you are a student. You may be entitled to Council Tax Discount or exemption if you are a single tenant, or your household has a mixture of students and working professionals.

How to get up to date meter readings for your apartment

To gain up to date readings please go to the notice board on the ground floor by the lifts and add your apartment information on the sheet provided. The caretaker will offer readings on a day to day basis.

All meters for your apartment are in a locked meter cupboard that only the caretaker has access to, unfortunately we do not have access to this room and cannot obtain readings for you.

Apartment Intercom system

Your apartment has a intercom system that goes directly to your phone rather than the apartment buzzer; please message the Caretaker on 07850880867 to offer your apartment number, your names and your contact numbers and they will add you to the system.

Refuse disposal at City Point

All tenants have access to the communal bins, these are located in the car park near the entrance/exit doors. Please use the appropriate bins and separate refuse for recycling and general waste.

Parking at City Point

Unless you have paid for allocated parking at City Point, you do not have access to park in this private car park and may be subject to fines if you are parking without permission.

TIP: Leave a notice on the communal notice board asking if any other residents have a parking space they are interested in renting out!
